| Mr. (SFC
Ret) Ronald McIntyre was born in Presque Isle, Maine on 9 June 1966.
He enlisted in the United States Army in December of 1984. Upon
completing One Station Unit Training for Infantry at Fort Benning,
Georgia, he was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division at Fort
Campbell, Kentucky.
He completed the Infantry Advanced Non
Commissioned Officer course, the Battle Staff NCO course, Sniper
school, Combat Leader course, Light Infantry Leader course, Drill
Sergeant School, Instructor Trainer course, Infantry Basic Non
Commissioned Officer course, NBC school, Northern Warfare
Instructor’s course, Combat Lifesaver course, Marine Corps
Amphibious Warfare school, Rappel Master course, Air Assault school,
and Small Group Leader course.
His major assignments include two tours
with the 101st Airborne Division, two tours with the 6th Infantry
Division (L) in Alaska, 10th Mountain Division (LI), USATC at Fort
Jackson, South Carolina where he served as a Drill Sergeant, and
Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri where he served as an Instructor/Writer
for Combat Training Command.
He has served as an Instructor /Writer,
Operations NCO, Platoon Sergeant, Drill Sergeant, Recon Squad
Leader, Sniper Team Leader, Squad Leader, Team Leader, and
Infantryman. His last tour of service was with the Black Bear
Battalion as the Operations NCO, and MS II/III Instructor.
His awards include the Meritorious
Service Medal with oak leaf cluster, Army Accommodation Medal with 6
oak leaf clusters, the Army Achievement Medal with 6 oak leaf
clusters, the Expeditionary Medal, NATO ribbon, and MFO ribbon. |
