University of Maine Army ROTC is open to University of Maine students as well as students at the following schools:

Husson College

UCB

Eastern Maine Community College

Students travel to the UMaine campus in Orono for their Army ROTC classes.  All three campuses are located in Bangor and within 10 miles of UMaine.  As freshman and sophomores, they attend two leadership laboratories a semester.  As juniors and seniors, they attend a leadership laboratory once a month.

Colby College

Thomas College

Unity College

UMA

UMF

Students from these campuses can take their freshman- and sophomore-level Army ROTC classes in Waterville , Maine .  The courses are taught once a week at a Maine Army National Guard Armory off of Exit 130.  Freshman and sophomores are required to travel to Orono two times a semester to participate in leadership laboratories.  Junior- and senior-level students are required to travel to UMaine once a week for their Army ROTC class and once a month to participate in leadership laboratories.  Colby and Thomas are located in Waterville .  Unity is about 15 minutes from Waterville .  University of Maine at Augusta is 25 minutes away and UMF is 45 minutes away.  Accomplishing Army ROTC from these distant campuses can be difficult and requires a self-motivated student who is an academically and physically strong student.

We are more than willing to accommodate student’s individual needs.  If you are interested in enrolling or have any questions please contact us for further information!
