Non-Scholarship, Non-Guaranteed Reserves Forces Duty (GRFD) SMP Cadet
  • Ability to contract as an MS II as well as time in service for pay and retirement
  • Federal Tuition Assistance (TA) up to: $4,500
  • Drill pay as an E-5 or higher enlisted rank previously obtained: $241.88 to $302.35 (E-5)
  • Ability to compete for active duty accessions upon commissioning
  • Chapter 30 Montgomery GI Bill (MGIB) (Active Duty), if eligible: $1,034
  • Retention of their Enlisted Student Loan Repayment (SLRP), if eligible
  • ROTC Stipend MS II/III/IV:  $350/$450/$500
  • $10,000 Accession Bonus on completion of OBC if accessed into Reserve Component (Other eligibility requirements apply)
  • Total Cash Incentive from: $14,440 to $41,520 (Over the period of 2 years / completion of OBC)
  • Total Incentives from: $23,440 to $50,520 (Over the period of 2 years / completion of OBC)

 

 

The Non-Scholarship GRFD SMP Cadet
  • Ability to contract as an MS II as well as time in service for pay and retirement
  • Federal TA up to $4,500
  • State TA (ARNG Only): Up to %100 cost of tuition Drill Pay as an E-5 or higher enlisted rank previously obtained: $241.88 to $302.35 (E-5)
  • Ability to ensure reserve component accessions and increased ability to solicit branch of choice through a By-Name Request (BNR)
  • Chapter 30 MGIB (Active Duty), if eligible: $1,034.  Chapter 1606 SR-MGIB (Selected Reserve), if eligible: $297
  • MGIB Kicker: $350
  • Retention of their SLRP, if eligible
  • ROTC Stipend MS II/III/IV:  $350/$450/$500
  • $10,000 Accession Bonus on completion of OBC if accessed into Reserve Component (Other eligibility requirements apply)
  • Total Cash Incentive from: $14,440 to $48,520 (Over the period of two years / completion of OBC)

The Scholarship SMP Cadet

  • Time in Service for pay and Retirement
  • Pays full tuition and fees or room and board (not to exceed the cost of tuition and fees)
  • Pays $900 per year for books
  • Drill pay as an E-5 or higher enlisted rank previously obtained: $241.88 to $302.35 (E-5)
  • Chapter 30 MGIB (Active Duty) if eligible: $1,034
  • Chapter 1606 SR-MGIB (Selected Reserve), if eligible (Ded. ARNG Scholarship winners are not eligible): $288 MGIB Kicker (Ded. ARNG Scholarship winners are not eligible): $350
  • Retention of their SLRP, if eligible
  • ROTC Stipened MS II/III/IV:  $350/$450/$500
  • Total Cash Incentive from: $14,440 to $35,520 (Over the period of two years)
  • Total Incentives from: $56,240 to $77,320 (Over the period of two years)

 

The GRFD Scholarship

This is a 2-Year scholarship and is awarded from both the ARNG and USAR.  The cadets must SMP within the respective Reserve Component that awarded the scholarship.  The applicant must be aligned in both academics and military science courses to graduate/commission in two years.  The cadet must serve eight years actively drilling in the Selected Reserves with service in either the ARNG or USAR upon commissioning.

 

 

The Dedicated ARNG Scholarship

This is a 2,2.5, or 3 year scholarship and is awarded by the ARNG only.  The cadets must SMP in the ARNG and serve eight years actively drilling in the ARNG.  The applicant must be aligned in both academics and military science courses to graduate / commission in two to three years.
