Textbook Reward Program


Please note: The program for the 2007 - 2008 year contingent on funding.


Q: What are the eligibility requirements for the program?

A: To be eligible for a $250 textbook reward, each recipient must be enrolled in the Fall Semester 2007 AND be a regular participating member of the UMaine Marching Band for the entire Fall Semester.


Q: How will I receive the reward?

A: Textbook scholarships will appear as bookstore credits for Spring Semester of the 2007-08 academic year. ONLY those students who enroll as regular students at UMaine in the 2007-08 Spring Semester will be eligible for the textbook reward.


Q: What can I use the reward money for?

A: The $250 can only be applied to the cost of textbooks for only the credit courses in which each Marching Band member is registered.


Q: What happens if I leave the University during the spring semester?

A: Students who initially enroll in the Spring Semester but withdraw from the University, drop courses or have a remaining balance will not be eligible for a cash refund.


Q: Can I carry the balance of the credit over to another semester?

A: The Textbook Reward is not renewable and cannot be applied in part or in whole to any other semester or term in which enrolled. The entire $250 credit must be used during the 2007-08 Spring Semester.


Q: Do I have to take marching band for credit to get the reward?

A: You do not have to be in marching band for credit, only enrolled as a student.


Q: I am on the Dance Team, do I qualify for the credit?

A: Dance team is included in this, but in order to get the award you must be selected by audition to be on the dance team.
