Computer Workstation Training
What is this training module about?

This training will explain the importance of maintaining proper posture, and the protective measures that you may take to avoid or minimize symptoms or conditions that may result from extended or improper setup of your computer workstation. The topics include:

  • Understanding Musculoskeletal Injury (MSI) and Risk Factors
  • The Importance of Proper Posture

At the bottom of each page is a link to the next page.

At the end of the training module is a 10 question test. When you have successfully completed the test (passing score 80%), you will be prompted to fill out and submit the training documentation form. After you submit the form, print the Computer Workstation Checklist, fill it out, and provide a copy to your supervisor as this is documentation that you have completed the required Computer Workstation training.

How often is this training required?
Maine law states that if you work on a computer for more than 4 hours a day (on most days), you must receive this training within the first month of your being hired and annually thereafter.
