Annual Basic Safety Training

Required for: All employees, including work study students, Teaching Assistants, Resident Directors, and any other person who receives pay or compensation for work performed.

Frequency: Initially and annually. Refresher training (required annually) may be completed either on-line or in the classroom and may be scheduled for specific groups upon request (usually 10 or more people). Contact the Safety Training Coordinator at 581-4088 for more information.

How to receive the training: You will usually receive your initial Basic Safety Training during your new employee orientation arranged by Human Resources. This is about a one-hour classroom training session designed to cover several different regulatory requirements into a single training session. You may complete your annual requirement for Annual Basic Safety training on-line, or in a classroom setting.
