The Medway Highway Bridge is a Fiber-Reinforced-Polymer (FRP)-glulam girder bridge with a glulam deck. It was designed by University of Maine and Maine Department of Transportation (DOT) engineers. A monitoring program is evaluating in particular the integrity of the FRP and the FRP-wood bond line. The two lane bridge consists of 15 horizontally laminated GFRP/glulam beams. Each beam consists of maple wood laminations which are 1.5 in thick with .25 in pultruded GFRP reinforcement. The girders are xx deep, 5.2 in wide and 54 ft long.
