The research conducted at AEWC has a proven and established record of being applicable to industry and there are many examples of how the products developed at AEWC have been taken into further development by industrial and governmental partners.  These organizations benefit from the continuing relationship with the faculty, staff and students at AEWC and the resources offered by the University of Maine community as a whole.  Recent projects include the reconstruction of the Neal Bridge, the NetForms roofing system, the development of the Mark V Patrol Boat and the Modular Ballistic Protection System.
