Researchers at  AEWC have the ability to probe the internal structure and properties of materials.  This allows for understanding of the fundamental properties of the material from the nano to macro scale. Technical capbalities include computer analysis, advanced visualization, and multiscale microscopy.  ARAMIS and PONTOS systems provide 3D quasi-static and dynamic deformation and strain measurement capabilities. In the large environmentally controlled mechanical testing laboratory, thermal, rheological, static/dynamic-mechanical, and physical properties can be analyzed.
