The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences is seeking a graduate student to support operations of the Center for Undergraduate Research (CUGR). Responsibilities include updating and maintaining the CUGR website and database, responding to queries from
students and faculty, administering the system for requesting and reviewing grant proposals, and participation in planning and carrying out the CUGR Showcase. While CUGR is managed within the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, it serves the entire
Full time (taking at least 6 credits per semester) graduate students from any discipline are welcome to apply. We seek a graduate student with strong organizational skills who can work semi-independently, and who has basic computer literacy or
better. The student will report to the college’s Associate Dean for Research and External Affairs.

The position benefits are as follows:
- Monthly stipend of $1,522.00
- Coverage of tuition for up to 18 credits in the academic year and additional 6 credits in the summer
- Health insurance is mandatory. If the successful candidate does not have personal coverage, he/she will be enrolled in the University of Maine health insurance plan and half of the total cost of the policy will be covered by the assistantship.
The other half of the cost will be the student’s responsibility and a monthly payment plan can be created at the Bursar’s Office.
