Graduate Research Exposition (the Expo)

We are pleased to announce that plans for the 10th Annual Graduate Research Exposition are well underway. The past 10 years have shown that the Exposition is one of the most anticipated events at the University of Maine. The Graduate Student Government is excited about this opportunity to showcase and reward graduate academic excellence and creative achievement. The Expo will take place April 15-16, 2008 in the Buchanan Alumni House, an elegant setting for a celebration of this caliber. There will also be a Gala on the evening of the 15th, a social event to open to all faculty and graduate students.
The Expo is an ideal opportunity for graduate students to develop their professional presentation skills, network with peers, garner valuable feedback, and share ideas with a university-wide audience. Works in progress, thesis and dissertation research, and independent projects are all equally viable candidates for presentation. Feedback from Expo alumni indicates that the Expo is an excellent forum in which to hone your presentation skills for professional conferences and the thesis/dissertation defense.
