The deadline for hand-delivered grant applications is October 8, 2008.
All graduate faculty, graduate students, support staff and their families are invited to The Annual Graduate School Picnic at the Recreational Area by the Stillwater River.
The picnic will take place on Tuesday, September 23, 2008 4:00-6:00 p.m. (Rain date: Wednesday, September 24)
The Graduate Student Government (GSG) is the governing body for all graduate students at the University of Maine, Orono. Voting representatives are chosen by each department. Public meetings of the GSG are held every two weeks.
The GSG offers a number of services, including grants for research and travel each semester, and funding for graduate student clubs and organizations. The GSG sponsors the annual Graduate Recognition Ceremony and accompanying reception in May, on the evening before Commencement. The GSG is the primary sponsor of the annual Graduate Research Exposition, the Expo, which presents final and ongoing results of graduate students' research.
