green products Business Plan Competition 2007-8 The competition has ended! Congratulations to Justin Jamison and Brooks Einstein for taking first place in the Green Products Business Competition with their company, Local Food Solutions. original competition guidelines Participants should describe the commercialization of a “green” product that is made from bio-based materials or made from recycled or recyclable materials, or a technology that reduces environmental pollution or produces renewable energy. Winning participants will receive prize money to launch a business with the support and guidance of the Foster Student Innovation Center team! *Prize money must be used for eligible business expenses as defined by the Forest Bioproducts Research Initiative (FBRI). Eligibility 1. Participants should be full or part-time undergraduate or graduate students registered for 2007-2008 academic year at any college or university in Maine. Dates to remember October 25, 2007, 12:30 – 1:45 pm: Market-Based Conservation Lunch and Learn at the Foster Student Innovation Center (FSIC) (Participants may request assistance for the business plan and green business opportunities through January 17, 2008).
