The Foster Student Innovation Center at the University of Maine gives students the knowledge, tools and inspiration to become innovators and entrepreneurs. The FSIC helps students evaluate their ideas and find the resources needed to be successful. The Center's programs and services include one-on-one advising and coaching, credit courses in innovation, fun and inspirational seminars, and offices and meeting space for student companies and projects.

Through our programs and events, we create an environment where your bright idea can turn in a real-life opportunity.

» Maine Summer Transportation Institute 2008
The University of Maine in Orono will host the Maine Summer Transportation Institute (MSTI) 2008 for middle school students from August 4 – August 15, 2008 in the Foster Sudent Innovation Center.

» Attention Graduate Students:
The Foster Student Innovation Center is pleased to announce that it is partnering with the Graduate Students Association to offer a new award as part of the Graduate Students Research Expo.  The intent of this award is to recognize the research of graduate students at the University of Maine that shows promise in regards to developing a commercial product or service.  Winning participants will receive prize money accompanied by a support package provided by the FSIC that will include ongoing business development assistance from the FSIC staff, additional resources and space within the FSIC, if desired.
