Our regular Snack & Yacks are intended to provide information and inspiration for students, faculty and staff interested in developing their own innovative project or business.

Oh, and a snack is provided. And it's delicious.

Oct. 21, 4 to 6 PM
Join us and hear from banks, grant makers and investors the many different ways to find the money you need to work on your business or idea. Presenters include the Maine Technology Institute, Libra Future Fund, Maine Angels and more.

Chris Roberts starting making Barkwheats grain-free dog biscuits with one thing in mind—they had to be as healthy and safe for the earth as they are for your dog! Come meet Chris, hear his amazing story and check out Barkwheats for yourself.

Did you know that the Slanket—the original blanket with sleeves—was invented on a very cold night in Knox Hall? Come meet Gary Clegg, UMaine alum and inventor of the Slanket and find out how he turned a blanket with sleeves into a million dollar business.

Come and learn from the experts how to turn your favorite recipe or passion for cooking into a food products business. Our panel includes Stone Wall Kitchen, a leading producer of specialty and gourmet foods based in York, Maine.

Getting into the Music Business
