Fly System Notes

All line sets and the orchestra ceiling are flown by fixed-speed, motor-controlled rigging.

WORKING GRID HEIGHT: 28'

ELAPSED TIME FROM WORK TRIM (4') TO WORKING GRID HEIGHT: Approximately 45 seconds.

Battens are 60' long by 1.5" black pipe. All motors are controlled from a panel mounted on the offstage right wall.

The main curtain, grand teaser traveler, and the first black traveler are manually operated from a stage right rail position. The mid-stage traveler must be operated by hand. The farthest upstage traveler is also manually operated, from a bridge above the stage left wing.

Orchestra ceiling rigging may be used for hanging an additional pipe, however, note that the speed limit of 3.8'/ minute prohibits such a pipe for any use which would require change during a show.

With a Technical Director's approval, rigging from the grid may be performed when line set placement cannot adequately accommodate the needs of a performance.
