Dr. Stuart Marrs and Dr. Jan Williams presented a lecture/demonstration
on Eight Pieces for
Four Timpani by Elliott Carter during Focus Day at
the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC) in
Columbs, OH on Oct. 20, 2007. The day, titled "Paukenzeit:
celebrating the solo timpanist" and was an unparalleled
success. The Marrs/Williams was packed to capacity with
approximately 600 in attendance.
