Timothy M. Cole is Associate Professor of Political Science. He received his Ph.D. in International Relations from the University of Washington in 1987. His principal teaching and research interests involve American foreign policy and national security policy, with a secondary interest in American constitutional law. His research focuses on the manner in which foreign policy leaders formulate, articulate, and justify their vision of American interests. His courses include American Foreign Policy, International Relations, International Security, American Civil Liberties, The American Constitution and Criminal Due Process, and various seminars in legal (principally first amendment) theory.
