Faculty and Staff G. Paul Holman is Visiting Associate Professor of International Affairs. He received his Ph.D. in History from Georgetown University in 1973. His principal teaching and research interests concern international security and the formulation of U.S. national security strategy. His courses include Global Politics, International Terrorism, and Eastern Europe Since the End of Communism.His most recent publication, Implications of the Events at Abu Ghraib Prison for Partnership for Peace Countries, appeared in Connections (Quarterly Journal), No. 3, 2004. He co-edited with Richmond M. Lloyd, Fundamentals of Force Planning; Foundations of Force Planning; and Strategy and Force Planning, Naval War College Press, 1986-1996; with Raymond M. Duncan, Ethnic Nationalism and Regional Conflict, Westview Press, 1994; and with Robert L. Pfaltzgraff, Jr., The Soviet Union After Perestroika, Brassey’s (US) Inc., 1991. His many articles on national security have appeared in Naval War College Review, Strategic Review, U.S. Naval Institute Proceedings, Brown Journal of World Affairs, Argentinian Naval War College Review, Air Force Magazine, and U.S. Marine Corps Gazette.
