Faculty and Staff Seth Singleton received his undergraduate degree from Harvard, in Russian History and Literature, and his Ph.D. in Political Science from Yale. His research and publication for many years was on Soviet policy in Asia and Africa, with research fellowships at the Harvard Russian Research Center and the Kennan Institute in Washington. He has held grants from the Rockefeller Foundation and the Soros Foundation, and has been Fulbright Senior Scholar in Vietnam. He has served as academic dean in universities in the US and overseas, has lived in Tanzania, Russia, Ecuador, and Vietnam, and has consulted on university management and lectured on world affairs in about thirty countries, most recently China, Mongolia, and Bolivia.
