Project Opportunity

In-Service Teachers

Project Opportunity provides ongoing courses, workshops and quality information for in-service teachers working with English as a Second Language (ESL) students.

Ongoing workshops and courses will provide access to the best strategies and research on delivering content to limited English proficiency students. On-site workshops in multicultural education, heritage language classroom approaches, and English as a Second Language content will be offered. To facilitate the participation of in-service teachers, especially those from remote areas, coursework will be offered online and onsite during the academic year and as one-week summer institutes.

Credit hours and continuing education units (CEUs) will be available for courses and workshops to help teachers to maintain their certification.
