Maine Alpha Balanced Man Expectations
- Members will email the brothers folders before events if they cannot attend
- Members will abide by the Sigma Phi Epsilon Covenant (as each member attests to, upon entering the Sigma Rite of Passage)
- Members will live daily the Journey of Brotherhood, as outlined in the Quest
- Attend all possible chapter meetings and functions, as posted on this website and FirstClass.
- Participate in weekly "promote SigEp" day on every Wednesday. This is done by wearing SigEp letters. (New brothers automatically receive shirts).
- Mondays, members are to dress to impress, wearing balanced man pin (Balanced man pin is to be worn only when wearing a nice shirt, pants, and shoes to a SigEp related function)
- Be on time to SigEp meetings and events.
- Serve in a leadership position (Whether as officer, or as part of Committee)
- Be involved in a campus organization or club (RA, Los Colores Unidos, Demolay, ROTC, student government, IFC, etc.) STRIVE TO BE LEADERS ON CAMPUS AS WELL!
- Pay dues in a timely manner
- Participate in intramurals and weekly intramural practices
- Recruit one man a semester
- Formal attire for all rites of passages
- Maintain a GPA above and beyond a 3.0
- Live our Cardinal Principles of Virtue, Diligence, and Brotherly love
- Know our mission; "Building Balanced Leaders for America's Communities."
- Remove the following words from your vocabulary:
o Frat
o House
o Pledge
- Replace with:
o Fraternity
o Chapter or Chapter House
o Recruit
