More help for families

May 14, 2009
Category: General
We’ve been thinking of more ways to help families; this year we are offering more family friendly camp policies and activities for our day camp and over night campers. Tanglewood has always been a rewarding, nature based, discovery experience for children but we felt a need to do more to help families in these challenging times.
Before and After Care; A Great Deal! [more]

Different Fees for Different Household Incomes: Campers are now offered three different levels of fees based on household income. We tested this option last year; it’s based on the honor system and it works!  (Some parents even send in more than the camp fee, asking us to use extra funds to help other families.)

Opportunities for Financial Aid: Tanglewood offers “camperships” that reduce costs for families.  Applications are on line or printed in the camp catalogue.

For Older Day Campers Who Still Need Supervision: Blueberry Cove offers special day camp programs for youth aged 9-12, including the choice of a two week, “Learn to Sail” program.
