Leadership participant by the oceanTanglewood's Leadership Development Programs don't just teach teenagers to appreciate nature, they show them how to thrive in it. These programs provide lessons in ecology and hard outdoor skills, while also allowing teenagers to gain an understanding ofcommunication, decision making, group dynamics, problem solving, world diversity and sustainable living.

There are 4 phases to the Leadership Development Program, and while many participants strive to become camp counselors, the skills learned can be applied in many situations.

All Leadership programs are based at the camp in Lincolnville, and campers practice being leaders through their participation in outdoor adventures, focused activities and community service. Many leadership participants consider these programs some of the most valuable experiences of their lives.
